Do you feel bad for the "unappreciated and underpaid" Hollywood writer!
Question: Everyone's reporting like life as we know it will stop if this happens, whatever. Most of the new shows' seasons consist of like 4 episodes anyways, what a joke. Most of all the new series are garbage. The only shows that seem to get ratings anymore are reality shows, which if they're not BS, shouldn't really have a bunch of writers. Yes Talk shows would be affected but I think talk show hosts should be speaking for themselves anyways? My opinion is go away then, most of us won't even notice. What's yours?

Hey they have been on strike before. See, no one remembers or noticed. I bet they make more than teachers right now. For news to be reporting it like it is going to change our lives is ridiculous. The only way it could would be to make it better by forcing people to get their butts off the couch and find something more constructive to do. Sorry but I have no sympathy for the entertainment industry in general. I find them self centered and greedy.
come on! if it wasnt for the writers we wouldnt have any entertainment at all. They need to be protected. The studios want it all, the actors,producers want it all, where does that leave the writers? with nothing!

I feel bad for any one under paid for what they do especially if they've done the amount of work I've done at a few companies. I don't put my heart into my work any more because I've been under paid, never heard about how much I've done but sure as hell heard about the little mistakes I've made but yet I'v saved some companies a lot of money. I could have has I look back on most companies I've worked for and wished I'd burnt them. I could have stolen so much from and I hate to say it but I wish I had. It would have made up what the company never paid me or ripped me off for..
This is EXACTLY the same thing that happened with the musicians when napster came out. Only they didn't strike. They just said "no, you can't use our work."
Writers are doing a great job at entertaining us and should get a cut of what's being legally downloaded and reproduced!

Honestly, you'd think it was the world coming to an end. Big deal. We had one before and the world didn't end and everyone got thru it and we will again. Maybe people will get so bored they will pick up a book and actually start reading and find they enjoy it. Especially the young people, half of whom don't even know what a book is!! LOL
