The Simpsons and South Park are great, different shows. Nobody would notice if Family Guy never existed. It doesn't add anything.

South Park is the best because it has the most laughs, relevance, and (usually) brains. The Simpsons is excellent but is getting old, its in its 19th season. Its just getting overdone. Family Guy is funny, but is illogical, retarded, and is all in all "Random interchangeable jokes with pop culture references thrown in"

'King of the Hill' is the best, in my opinion. But of the three you proposed, I'd vote for 'The Simpsons' because I've known it to be witty, intelligent, and subtle on occasion, without being extremely vulgar.
'South Park' is highly intelligent and witty, but it is also gross, with a lot of gross sexual humor and gross bathroom humor. 'Family Guy' is only slightly less gross, and it isn't nearly as witty as 'South Park.'
Simpsons at one point was very intelligent and subtle. It's lost that now that it's trying to compete with Seth McFarlane.
