What do you prefer "Man vs Wild" or "Survivorman" and Why?!
Question: i like both shows... man vs wild is more entertaining because bear grylis is so animated... but i have heard isn't completely real because he doesn't spend his entire time out in the wild.... i like survivor man because he seems to partake in more activities that someone stranded in the wild would and seems to take it more seriously.. also he has been rescued on the show so i find it more believable....

come on... "survivorman" ??? i mean thats so lame!!!!!
Well, I used to prefer Bear Grylles because he was better to look at! (and Les gets kind of whiny sometimes!), but after the controversy and realizing that some of Man vs Wild stuff is staged, I am seeing it all in a different light and have a bit more respect for Survivorman.
They are both starting to get a bit tedious though--I mean really how many different ways are there to build a shelter out of twigs, make fire and eat bugs?
Hands down Survivorman. Not only was he more intense because he carries all his own camera equipment, but he also is always in complete Isolation. Man vs. Wild is for show. The guys crew helps him a lot. He even says it in the episode where he uses rope to help make a raft. He says it took him and the camera crew a few hours. That **** is weak.
If you can't survive with a crew of 24 people, than you're in a group of idiots. Les Stroud is a M A N.

Simply to watch, I think Man vs. Wild is far far better- Bear is engaging, cheerful, uncomplaining, and I believe he could do all that stuff WITHOUT a crew. It's visually involving thanks to the great crew, I guess.
Survivorman--First, HORRIBLE name. Second, the guy is a self-important whiner. Completely unpleasurable to watch, the guy has NO appeal. If you have a show, you better have a personality. GUYS probably prefer this big slug because he isn't good-looking like Bear (thus less threatening.)
