Who was the man that slapped the woman when she was pregnant in the car?

The man who slapped her was the babys father her boyfriend who was ok until she got pregnant then went weird.
The man at the petrol station had robbed a church of two religious statues after asking the vicar to see them then pretending to choke so he was left alone with the statues, which he then ran off with.
Steph the pregnant girl wanted to go to the toilet but her boyfriend would not stop so she wet herself causing them to stop at the petrol station.
She was made to clean the mess up and when her boyfriend went to pay for petrol she begged a lift off the statue robber and off they drove.
It turned out later the vicar at thechurch was the father of the girl who Steff got a job at as a childminder after having the baby but it died in the cot.
1. He was her partner and the father of the child.
2. She asked the stranger in the petrol station just to take her away from the petrol station and he ended up looking after her.
A good drama but got a bit gorey for me.
Horrible ending.
The man who slapped her in the car was her boyfriend (nasty man!) and he when he went to pay for petrol and get a drink she ran to the fella in the van and asked him to basically save her - and then the man came out of the petrol station shop and couldn't find her! I missed everything after the baby died - couldn't watch, can anyone give me a brief outline?
