What was the name of the soap that used to be on Channel 5?!
Question: There was a shady guy called Pete that ran a bar and a tall blond girl worked there with him. Think there was also a character called Roy. For some reason I keep seeing clips of it or characters from it recently, but it's frustrating me that I can't remember what it was called. It was on a few years ago. I don't remember it finishing but it's not on now. It might have been in a place called Charnham. Does anyone know what I am talking about from that very vague description?

It was indeed 'Family Affairs', which had the beginnings of a good soap to start with, but then the writers decided to kill off a whole family in a gas related boat explosion, and it went downhill from there.
