Dexter killed his brother because he was going to kill his foster sister,, he didn't even know the the "Ice Truck Killer '' was his brother until the last episode of last season,,, they had been separated at a young age when their parents were killed and they saw the whole thing, but Dexter had forgotten about Rudy{ his brother} because it was such a traumatic thing and they sat in their parents blood for two days before anyone found them, that's why they are both serial killers, except Dexter is a serial killer who kills serial killers,which to me is a good thing,,, I think every big city should have a "Dexter''This is a great show and you will be able to catch up on future episodes, or if you have on demand on your TV they might show some stuff that might make you understand the show a little better,,, Hope I helped!!!
