My family drank. Overdid it, actually. I married a 26-yr old girl that couldn't drink -- made her so obnoxiously silly, I told her I'd drop her if she ever did it again. I like to drink. Like the taste, the polluted river going down my burning throat, the buzz. But, for fifty+ years we've not drank and somehow managed not to kill each other although there's a whole lot of grouch around the house. We talk about that healthful couple of slugs you should have at the end of the day, but have never quite gotten to it. Bon Appertif! anyway. (You'll probably need one after this sad tale.)
