NBC "Heroes" question.?!

Question: Why is the "Company" bad? I only watch the episodes once, I remember some of season one, but the last s2 episode made me wonder if the company is actually bad. What are they really doing that is "wrong".

Also, I'm getting so bored of Peter and Hiro. Peter, I just can't stand and Hiro's storyline is so boring! I don't find him very interesting without Ando along side him, and I don't find Ando interesting without Hiro. I wish they'd just take them out of the show at this point.

In addition to bagging and tagging them, it's been made pretty clear that they sometimes experiment on and kill the subjects. And don't forget that Bennet was ordered to kill Claude simply because he was hiding someone with abilities from them. That's never a sign of the good guys. Plus, we know they sometimes take children from their parents and give them to Company employees to raise - like Claire. Nathan believed she was dead for most of her life. The implication is that Elle was also taken from her parents and raised by the Company, and look how she turned out. Also, she's a company employee who murdered someone in cold blood because he wouldn't cooperate with her.

They may have started out with good intentions, but it's pretty obvious that they have become corrupted over time.

I'm also tired of Peter and Hiro's stories. Right now I'm most interested in the ones who are working in small groups - Nathan, Matt, Mohinder and Molly, for example (soon to be joined by Monica and Micah. They're going to have to kick Nathan out of the gang since his name doesn't star with 'm'). Also, having Sylar join the twins perked them up, and I'm looking forward to Sylar's reunion with Mohinder. But Peter and Hiro are too isolated, plus their stories are dragging so slowly, that I've lost interest in them. I also find Claire and her creepy stalker boyfriend to be annoying - after her father got shot and nearly killed for her, I can't believe she'd turn on him for a guy who meets most of the criteria for being an abusive boyfriend. I want Sylar to kill him quickly. The boyfriend, that is.

Well think of "The Company," as a group who grabs, tags, and taps everyone with "special abilities, " They "grab" a "special" person; then they 'Tag' the individual like scientists would do to wild animals; and then the Company 'Taps,' the individual and keeps him/her on constant surveillance.

I agree with your frustration at the plot lines for Peter, Hiro, and Ando, but I strongly disagree about your solution. There is a point that the writers need to build the characters up to, it's just frustrating to watch sometimes because you want to move on with the plot and forget about some of the loose ends.

I'm going to stay off the Peter issue because I like the character.
Re: The Company: There's some speculation that the original memberes of the Company (Mama & Papa Petrelli, Charles (Simone's dad), Linderman, Hiro's father and others) were responsible for the change in our Heroes, that somehow they genetically manipulated these people into becoming what they are, and that they did so for their own reasons. Apparently, the goal was originally to take humanity to another level evolution-wise, but then Linderman, Mama P and some others decided to go for personal gain. This included kidnapping and drugging unsuspecting Heroes.

Peter is getting a bit boring, but he is still a pretty cool character.

Well, the company is bad because they act on the ideaology of "the greater good" They do good things and help some people, but they also do bad things. It was already said that they find special people, tag them, and then follow them to make sure they don't cause trouble. But some special people they kill because they see them as a threat. Also they wanted Claude killed just because he was withholding information. Good companies don't order people to be killed for that.
I couldn't agree with you more about Hiro's storyline this season. I really think it sucks. I don't care about feudal Japan, and sure it's great he saved Kensei, but he doesn't even know his dad is dead! He needs to get back to the time he belongs in.... He should have left after he got Kensei on track. It's so stupid the way he loves this woman he isn't going to get.... I really hate this part of the show.
Peter's story is ssssoooo slow! Finally he's leaving Ireland! I still like his character. I just wish they would get things moving.... It shouldn't take 5 episodes to get him to actually do something.....
That being said, I still love the show, I just wish it didn't have those two disappointments.... (Oh yeah, Claire's story is a little bit of a let down at this point. Although I'm like 100% positive that West (her boyfriend) is going to like turn to the darkside or something, so maybe that will be interesting when it finally happens)
