Volkswagen Golf advert (UK); what is the poem read on the voiceover?!

Question: It's the advert with the guy driving a silver Golf through a deserted city at night. I believe it ends with, 'When was the last time you just went for a drive?' on the screen.

The poem is read over the advert and goes something like, 'the fisher, postman, web-toed cockle pickers [are all asleep]...only you are awake...' and it sounds like, but may not be, Richard Burton. Any ideas?

Thanks!
