i wondered the same thing myself and caught an episode where it was a recap of the season and questions people wanted to know- one was about Padmas scar and she explained she received it ina car accident-you may try the topchef or bravotvs website to find this info-it may provide more detaill, if any i dont hink she mentioned much more.....hope this helped!
Car accident from her surgery
The scar is from a car accident when she was younger. She also has damage to her right hand. The scars came from punching out the window to escape the car.
