for some reason conan has done the same things for years and still seams to be funny and entertaining although we all know what is coming next. I don't know if he sucks as much as he is something to watch.
Conan sucks. I've heard a rumor on the street that Rosie O'Donnel might be the new host. Which isn't too bad, as long as there is nobody from the view as a guest host...(whispers) girl fight! HAHAHA

Leno stated on the show that he wanted to avoid a repeat of the controversy and hard feelings that resulted when he was chosen by NBC to host the Tonight Show over David Letterman. According to speculation, NBC had asked Leno to do this so Conan, who was a vital asset to the network, wouldn't jump ship for a more lucrative offer. It was rumored that at the time of the announcement ABC was talking to Conan about possibly replacing Jimmy Kimmel
NBC has not changed its plans to retire Jay Leno and install Conan O'Brien in his place. Nobody, including Jay Leno, knows what Jay Leno plans to do after he loses his job. He previously agreed to step down in 2009, but seems to have second thoughts as that date is approaching.
Yes, Conan is suppsed to take over The Tonight Show in 2009 when Leno's contract is up. But, I have heard some rumors that Jay might not want to leave the show just yet, so I don't know what will happen then.
