General Hospital & Night Shift?!
Question: Ok, so I am confused...I saw the last episode of Night Shift and to me, it looked like Robin on the gurney at the end and I thought the whole thing was a dream. Then all these story lines from Night Shift are showing up on General Hospital now. So what happened with Night Shift and how do they explain the overlapping story lines?

They didn't explain it, they just started bringing things over and plopping them in the middle of GH. Night Shift was always supposed to be an alternate universe, but I think the execs were expecting it to be a lot more successful than it was. They didn't want to just leave all those other actors out of jobs, so they decided to integrate NS and GH well after NS wrapped.

It was Robin and a lot of things I have read suggest she fell aslepp in the on call room and it was a dream. The people were real but everything that happened was in her dream because it was all her fears. So that would explain why the stories never matched up on the 2 shows.
i agree it is totally confusing. they don't do a very good job of explaining and weaving the stories in.
If everything was a dream then Patrick would not be with Layla. The nurse would of not killed the patients. The man that killed the Dr's father would not be in jail etc. I think the writers did a very poor job of combining the shows. They should of never combined them. On GH Jason was in prison then NS he was out cleaning the hospital. It was really dumb and confusing to everyone that watched both shows.
they cancelled night shift.. robin did get shot on nighshift but apparently she is okay now...they are trying to bring in the actors/actresses and the story lines over the GH
The thing with Robin on the gurney confused me too. As for the storylines, they are simply tying Night Shift's into GH because Night Shift is over. I think there was only going to be one season of Night Shift and they didn't want to leave the viewer's hanging. Where's Brenda?
i read somewhere that the shows dont connect in anyway but it wasnt a dream cauz on gh nikolas was talking about tightening up security
they are 2 different shows and they dont have anything to do with eachother did u notice maxie was dyin on nightshift but she was fine on gh i found out after that ..the shows are 2 different storylines
