U are right. These serials promote superstitions but why do u think ppl watch these? Its only bcoz these things sell. India hasn't been able to free herself from the blind faiths & superstitions even in the 21st century. Even the young generation like to preserve this kind of culture which is completely immersed in superstitions. So the serial makers only do stuff that attract the attention of the audience. We cannot blame them as its only a marketing strategy.
u know wht i dont watch those serials...end of story...they irritate me so much half the time they promote the wrong thing and its not only superstitious stuff......rather watch a nature show instead much more interestin
i agree with u... infact many of the movies n tv soaps r promoting superstitions.
not only superstitious but purely bakwaas serials. u dont get any knowledge nor do these serials entertain you. all they do is make you cry and give you unwanted ideas to break families. instead would like to watch some nature channels or gags or comedy shows or sports............
Those stupid melodramatic ekta kapoor's Saas bahu crap is a national headache for all of us. Half the story u can know by seeing the advertisements of those serials. And u r right it promotes all kind of superstitions. When anything bad is about to happen a storm comes from somewhere, winds blow, there is lightening & storm & then comes the most dramatic point where the idols of Gods & Godesses move about & appear to fall off when the hero or heroine comes & holds it & saves it. They don't even spare Gods !!
Years ago i used to watch some of the K lettered serial regularly but now i don't & thank God i don't !!

yeah they do, but if anyone starts believing that watching these serials then they also will have to belive that in India everyone lives in these palice type houses, women wear heavy jwellery and saris 24/7, and u pray and get what u want within 24 hours!!!
ekata kapoor needs to get a life. Her and her irrelevant soap opera's are just so boring. All of them have same concept….
