Pushing Daisies?!

Question: You know, I watched it when it came on today on ABC, but I missed part of the start and I've been waiting to see this show forever!

What's the scenerio? I don't get it .. Is there a "heaven" in their town?

Who was that asian guy?

What's up with the "one minute" thing he has to follow!?

Any help would be great and I would have loved this show if I got what was going on! Lol.

"Pushing Daisies" is the greatest show ever made! The entire show is set in a fairytale setting, hence the narrator and Dr. Suess feel.

To start, there isn't a heaven in their town. Ned, the lead character, has the ability to bring dead people back to life. But there's a catch: If he brings someone back to life for more than one minute, someone has to take his/her place. That's usually someone in close proximity.

The lead woman, Chuck, was brought back to life by Ned after she was murdered. He couldn't bring himself to make her dead again, so the funeral director bit the dust (he was in close proximity). The clincher: He can never touch her again. If he did, she'd go back to being dead.

Detective Emerson Cod discovered Ned's ability in a freak accident. They've since struck a deal to bring people back to life, ask them who killed them, and then split the award money. Nice side job, huh?

Now, Ned, Chuck and Emerson Cod work together to solve the crimes, but it usually goes awry. The Asian dude was one of those scenarios that went awry, therefore, he's irrelevant to the show's big picture.

You can learn more at ABC.com.

You can watch the episodes online and it will get you up to speed! It's really good.

i

I didn't really catch it, but the one minute thing is that if he brings someone back from the dead by touching them, they have 1 minute before someone else nearby HAS to die in order to replace the person who was originally dead.
Sorry couldn't be more help!

If u missed Pushing Daisies Ep 3 u can go to ctv.ca go to video and u will see Pushing Daisies and click and u wait a few minutes and u are watch the video !!!

The scenario is.. the guy can bring people back for one minute, after one minute another random person will die to take the previously dead person. The guy saved the girl (the brunette) and she just found out that because he saved her, that the other guy had to die.

The asian guy was just some random character. It was supposedly a grandson or something of one of the people the undertaker had robbed from.

Hope that helped. :) It really is kind of a cool show, if you get what's going on.

I don't want to give anything away. I recommend that you go to ABC.com and watch the previous episodes. Just so you can catch up, or see if you even like the show.

wow what a freaky show, i never knew this kind of show existed on tv. When is this show on??

EDIT: i can't view any of the clips, where can i view this show???

The dog survives because:
1) a squirrel died in his place (You can see it fall out of the tree if you watch Episode #1 carefully.)
2) his owner hasn't touched him again

I think everyone else has explained things pretty clearly.

I'm really happy that people are catching onto this utterly amazing series! I'm reminded of the short-lived "Wonderfalls". I love its quirkiness, the bright colors, the odd storylines, and everything about it! This truly is a special show, but special ones tend to get tossed quickly, even when the critics and the audience love them. Isn't that crazy?

If he does leave someone alive for more thatn one minute, someone else in close proximity will die. Which is why his private eye friend took off running when he thought they were going to pass the one minute on the funeral director.

And it hasn't really said how long anyone will live once he brings them back, but it indicates they live as long as he does not touch them again. He's had one or two kill themselves again by thuching him (his mother for one).

One of the big secrets he has is that when he brought his mother back to life, he killed Chuck's father.

And the asian guy was the one responsible for hiding the funeral directors body in the freezer at the Pie Hole. He was trying to get his great grandfathers civil war sword back.......the funeral directors had been grave robbing items from people at the home. The thing about the asian guy was that apparently his dad took the identity of a civil war hero and the asian guy was raised in the south......hence the southern accident and Nate asking him if he was adopted.
