Have the Eastenders script writers forgotten?!

Question: That Ian Beale has had a vasectomy? If you remember, when he was married to Laura he didn't want any more kids so had a secret vasectomy. So all of this talk about wanting to have kids with Jane....... well it wasn't going to happen that easily was it?

I said exactly the same to my husband last night..... Thank you I knoew I was right!

yeah but the vasectomy didnt work cause Laura's child was his - but he blamed her for an affair.

I think they may have forgotten how to write.

When has Eastenders ever made sense? Dirty den coming back says it all...and I still continue to watch it!

I don't think it worked because Bobby his Ian's and not Garry's

yeah but he had a kid with laura, because he had sex afterwards and he was emptying the last of the good sperm, but jane did ask him before to have a reversal, and he was going to so i think he meant he was going to get a reversal first dont matter anyway they have extracted her womb thanx to steven, so she wont be having any thank god no more ian beale nutters on the square wonder what lucy will turn out like,

Series 28, episode 7. Ian had a reverse operation when Dot kicked him in the nuts. Keep up.

the vasectomy didnt work, which is why lauras child bobby was actually his

The vasectomy didn't work that is how he ended up with Bobby.

he could have had a reversal

More like is Ian beale as moron who makes plans to have a baby with a woman who has just been shot in the stomach area.

Vasectomies can be reversed.

i cant remember whether it didn't work ( hence bobby the brat arrived) or if he got it reversed :S

I know but I guess were not suppose to remmber that or the fact that he didn't want any children with Jane and think that they are both upset over the fact that her Ovaries were removed and now it seems like they really are at the end of the road and even if they (Ian) diddn't want any more but atleast they had the option to.

why would she want to have any of his kids the ones he has are so bloody annoying especially lucy

Ian Beale lives a complicated life.

Amazing!

trouble with eastenders is that they 'forget' the past story lines in order to grab more viewers when they have the annual 'interesting' storyline. The trouble is everything is so incestual anyway, it boils down to three basic plot lines
1. Forgotten sisters/brothers/cousins/twins - Roxy et al and Cindy back from the dead (yawn)
2. Unlikely love affairs - Pat and Patrick/Phil and Stella/Minty and every woman he has got within ten feet of
3. The tragic figure - Sharon/Denis/the 'Orish' firefighter Sharon went out with/Arfur/Pauline
add a touch of gloom and doom and a seasoning of sexual shennigans then that is the 29 minutes over for another day.
I like EE, I really do but the more it tries to reflect the east end as it stands the more it alienates and blunders into cheap parodies of other genres (dont you dare drop that soap Deano...eek.......its only a matter of time before the words Who's da and Daddy are whispered)

It's easy to forget how the storyline has gone...but the others are right...His vasectomy didn't work.
'

if you remember laura did get pregnant and ian turned out to be the dad

It didn't work. When Laura had bobby, I an thought she must have had an affair due to the vasectomy. When Laura died, it was discovered that Ian's name was on the birth certificate. Ian got checked out at the hospital and found that bobby was his so the vasectomy hadn't worked. x
