On How I met your mother, who's the mother of Ted's children?!
Question: I didn't see the pilot and for awhile I thought it was robin until the recent episode where Ted's kids refer to Robin as their aunt. How can she be their aunt? Does Ted marry her sister or what?

That's the question everyone asks and the reason for us to keep tuning in! Robin is an early love interest but we know that she is nothing more than "Aunt Robin" to Ted's children as she has been involved in their lives since before they were born. Personally, I think once the answer is revealed the show will end, or at least need to be renamed.
The whole point of the show is that he is explaining to his children how he met their mother. She has not yet been revealed. I've read that there will be some hints this season about who the mother is but she probably won't be revealed.
She hasn't been revealed yet. As for the aunt thing, a lot of people who have close friends have their children refer to them as aunt and uncle.
