24 - if youre in the mood for action and suspense
desperate housewives - if you're desperate
Bones - haven't seen it, but I'm guessing if you're in the drama type mood
Simpsons - if you're in the mood for casual laughs and the need to not pay too much attention
Buffy - If you like that type of thing, or just feel like watching some fighting/romance/drama/comedy (all-rounder)
Friends - I think this should be saved for when there really is nothing better to watch on tv
CSI - If you're bored
Charmed - if you feel like watching some pointless yet slightly interesting dialogue, with a bit of action and romance on the side.
It all depends on mood, seriously. Use my guidelines as required

Currently, my favs are LOST and HEROES. How could you miss them out of your list lol!
LOST because there are so many mysteries that you need to find out. HEROES because we've all dreamt of being a superhero and this show portrays what one would react to it.

i don't know i luv them all i guess if i had to pick it would be csi..no friends....no bones....no buffy...please don't make me choose i lov them all the same except 24.

I LOVE Charmed... I used to watch it all the time.. now I hardly have time.... =(
They are all crap. Heroes, Lost and Prison break beat all of them hands down
1st one Friends because it has a continuing story and i have watched it from the beginning and secondly The Simpson's because it just makes me laugh when i get home from a stressful day

24 - because it's super intense if you sit down and watch them all back-to-back on dvd and makes you fear life. it's pretty great when tv can affect you like that - like you start looking around in the streets for the governments secret cameras and stuff.
but wait! i uber-LOVE buffy. vampire-butt-kicking silliness!
i would say CSI because i love the way they show how the crimes actually happen and the evidence leading up to the suspects.
Desperate Housewives would have been #1 if we were talking about season 1 but the best show out of these

My favorite show of all is HOUSE
Heroes, Charmed, Bones, Buffy, Angel, Smallville, and Grey's are all good, there's NO WAY!!!! I can choose a show their all awesome because they all leave you in suspense sometimes and you just can't wait to see the next episode.

Buffy TVS as it has Sarah Michelle Gellar for starters lol!!
It had horror, drama, sci-fi even romance.Brilliant acting & it even had a completely silent episode where they used sign language.There was another where the dialogue was as a musical.Never before had so many genres been blended into one amazing mix & never before had vampires been made accessible.
SMG's performance in "The Body" is the finest 45 mins of US-based tv drama ever.For sure she deserved her award for that one.Forget crime or magic or housewives or cartoons.Buffy was the original & the best: 1996-2001 RIP.
CSI. it's a great show, very entertaining and original. performance by the actors are amazing. one of the best tv shows i've ever seen.
