Anybody else laughing at the Ellen sobbing plea?!

Question: It's on Yahoo's homepage.

I'm laughing because her show is not the appropriate venue for her animal fight. What's next? Larry King breaks down about his 19th marriage?

I can't say it better than Sux but will tack on.
The rescue organization is made out to be the bad guy in this situation when they are the ones really trying to control irresponsible pet ownership. What did you hear from Ellen? "It was too much..." "...too rambunctious.." etc. etc.
This is exactly the reason such a huge percentage of the pet population in the U.S. is euthanized every year. People are overcome by how cute the dog is but are not prepared to deal with what the dog is, that is, a DOG!!!. I'd like to ask Ellen what she expected when she took ownership of a PUPPY. (Why wouldn't you WANT a puppy to be rambunctious?)
It is great that there seems to be a home ready and willing to accept this puppy. And it may be true that this family is really right for the dog. But don't blame the rescue organization because of what has happened. They really do have the best interests of the dog in mind.

NO.. being a animal lover my self it is a sad situation
you go ahead & have your laugh... hope you feel better now
as for the rest of her fans & aniamal lovers we support her 110%

hell no that is sad! You need help buddy

No. I am not laughing. I think she genuinely feels bad about the situation. And I sympathize with her for trying to do something nice but inadvertently causing someone pain.

I felt bad for her...its like those stories that you hear that the birth mother wants her kid back after she put it up for adoption at birth

not laughing at all because its not funny!!

It's not typical Ellen, but it's not funny. Shey genuinely felt bad and I feel bad for her. The people at the animal resuce agency are like Dog Nazi's. They need to give the dog back to that family.

No. It's her show and yes it is the appropriate venue. If she ignored it and didn't place the appropriate amount of seriousness to it, people would complain that she is cold and doesn't care.

If you can laugh at a heartbroken person who obviously was in sincere distress when she broke down on television, then I feel sorry for you.

I'm laughing that she didn't read the agreement in the first place. Dude, you're a celebrity. Why do you just sign random stuff without reading it?

Nope, you're the only one laughing. The very LONELY only one! What a sad sad life you must lead. You have my deepest sympathies.

She explained herself in the beginning, she can't be expected to never have feelings because she is on TV, she is still a person who loves animals and feels sorry for what happened.

What is with celebrities abusing the privilege of media exposure to soapbox their own personal agendas! Adoption agencies have rules to protect their animals first and foremost. They don't know Ellen's hairdresser, because Ellen's hairdresser didn't go through the application process to adopt the pet. The contract was ignored, and Ellen was wrong, plain and simple. Sadly, judging by the replies from the majority of robotic muppets posting here, you all support this complex of allowing celebrities to live and act "above the law". Sad that she is allowed to pubicly discredit an organization that works to protect animals for her own selfish motives. Next time maybe she'll have the sense to socialize a new pet with her existing pets before taking it in...and also read and understand the contract she is signing!!! Very simple process for ANYONE adopting a pet. Shame on you who claim to be animal lovers yet support her actions. God help the animals if this causes a change in procedures allowing people to hand over adopted pets to anyone they feel like because their other pets don't get along, or they affect their allergies, or they poop in the backyard, etc. Sad

I guess it's not a reason for laughing, but it's sort of uncomfotable to watch. I mean, it's unfortunate about the situation, she tried to do a good thing. It's also sad that she neglected to read that form.

I totally agree with you, if she wanted to tell them that see was trying to do a good deed, she should go to them directly, she shouldn't go to the whole world.

Ok, I do not think this was funny at all. And for those talking about celebrities trying to be "above the law" I don't think that's what is going on here. I think anyone with a heart, celebrity or not, would feel the same way. She obviously feels guilty and knows she should have read the papers, she is a celebrity but after-all she is only human. What's up with the harsh responses? So, she made a mistake. Everyone does it from time to time. And as far as her getting upset on TV, so what? Sometimes when a person is upset it's not easy to fake it.
I can understand why the pet adoption organization has that policy, because if someone suddenly decided they didn't want the animal anymore they could simply dump the poor thing on the street somewhere. Even though Ellen didn't do that, the organization had to follow their policy. Personally, I can see why Ellen feels bad, however, why doesn't the family she gave the puppy to adopt the dog themselves? There must be someway that could be arranged.

The adoption agency couldn't visit the pup in its new home and do the paperwork there; rather than ripping the puppy away from its home??? This poor puppy has been through enough already, the agency could have a heart, no matter who gave the dog away, a celeb or not. That's not the issue. The agency overreacted and is putting that pup through more trauma than is necessary, if the agency had a brain/heart behind it. This pup is going to need a lot of love and nurturing after this agency gets done with it. I realize there was on oversight on Ellen's part by not reading the contract, and that was not smart and as you can see she is very sorry, but there has to be a better way than putting dogs through this trauma.

Am I laughing? NO! Why would I be laughing? I am a long time dog owner and hope they do the right thing by returning the dog to 2 little girls.

Alright, if Ellen was a news reporter, then you would have a point. But Ellen's show is centered around her, and her opinions and personality are what draw her fans to her.

She acknowledges that she was wrong. She admits that she made a mistake. She's just trying to make it right. I think it was very appropriate.

she was really crying because the network is gonna make her wear womens clothes......ahahahhahahaah

Her show is live and she was sick about the little girls losing the dog she gave them. Have a heart! Sicko!

I feel sorry for the dog.....poor thing had to live in a lesbian's home. Even dogs know that boy dogs go out with girl dogs.

I think Ellen has went to the dogs. I don't watch her show.
