Answers: Can someone tell me what episode the 'Akoochemoya, my bones are far from my ancestors' speech is from and what Akoochemoya means (if anything)?

When Chakotay goes on his spirit walks seeking spiritual guidance from his Mayan background, he appeals to his spirit guide "akoochemoya...my bones are far from my ancestors as he addresses his spirit bundle

"Akoocheemoya: I am far from the sacred places of my grandfathers. I am far from the bones of my people. But, perhaps, there is a powerful being who will embrace me and give me the answers I seek."

Chakotay's people, trace their lineage back past Mayans to the Rubber Tree People of Central America. After the development of warp drive, his people sought out their own colony and avoid modern devices.

In the episode "Tattoo" the away team beams down to what they think is an uninhabited planet. Chakotay finds an ancient symbol and is injured in a plasma storm. When he awakens he is surrounded by the inhabitants of this planet and is surprised to learn that they speak the language of his ancestors. They recognize the symbol tattooed on Chakotay's forehead, which he wears to honor his father, who wore it to honor his ancestors. The inhabitants say they knew those ancestors — "the Inheritors" — when they visited Earth some 45,000 years earlier.

Chakotay realizes that these are the "Sky Spirits" which his people's lore is based upon and that he's recovered his connection to his people — and his father.

ooooo i know this episode this was like one of the last in the series.

Janeway goes back in time to bring Voyager home in time to save Seven and tuvok and all of that. I think as far as what that means i have no clue
