Question: I find it extremely irratating that they use that sound. especially on commercials that play 10 times a day. The buzzing of an alarm clock is a sound that should only be heard ONCE a day, and not at all on weekends. Every time I hear it I cringe. It's not like I'll actually buy whatever they're advertising because it's a memorable commercial. No, I'll flat out refuse to buy it simply out of spite.

yes. I feel your pain. I wake up so early in the morning on weekdays, I learned to hate alarm clocks with a passion. On weekends, I sleep in 'till noon or 1 pm just to make sure that even if I did hear a blasted alarm clock, I slept past it. I HATE THAT SOUND!!!!
No ; but they have to know people shy away from obnoxion , and associated products . I noticed that annoying "I'm thinking of a number" guy has changed his tone somewhat . When he said that - it was like chalk going the wrong way on a chalk board .
YES! The other one I want outlawed is the sweeper commercial where the "wimpy" sweepers sound like squeaky toys!! My dog goes insane every time that commercial is on!
I honestly can't think of one single commercial that has ever had the sound of an alarm clock. I guess I just don't notice.
