Unfortunately/fortunately the Americans will always produce better tv than us Brits because they have bigger budgets to work with. Ever wondered why we pay for our tv licences? we do coz it certainly doesn't seem to make a difference how much we pay...our tv is always going to be inferior.
i personally prefer British Strands films & shows, but then i would im British! But thats not to say i wont watch or like some American stuff .... its about personal choice

I wish the British would learn English. i cant understand what the f-ck there saying.
When us British come up with a funny show such as Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy, Skins etc they are very addictive.
But over the years the Americans have come up with soooo many good shows and i hate to say it as being British but i would say the yanks would win it lol.
I love the shows like OC, Lost, Boy Meets World, Smart Guy, Heroes... and sooooo many more!

I watch both British and American programmes, and think they are both equally good. They both entertain in different ways, American tend to have lots of, cop shows (CSI, BONES, WITH OUT A TRACE, CRIMINAL MINDS ), British have lots of period dramas and reality TV, (X FACTOR, BIG BROTHER, THE APPRENTICE ), so I can't really choose one over the other, they both have lots to offer. Need to get back to my TV viewing now!.
I'm not that bothered has long has there really good.
I prefer UK shows but American shows are better. Ever since the import of shows like Friends in the 90s, there has been a sharp decline in production of UK shows due to this US invasion.
My fave shows have to be Prison Break, Heroes, Bones and Grey's Anatomy. Never took to 24, don't know why.
to no class: The British DO speak English. The Brits invented the language. It is the Americans who need to speak the TRUE English language.... and SPELL correctly.
I think the shows you mention are fantastic and I watch all of them but you can't beat British humour/comedians.
Phoenix Nights, Max and paddy, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Billy Connelly the list is endless.
