Question: something called "the last battle on earth "?? was on sky bbc4 on friday a few weeks ago, it had a john the companion that rules on earth, and if you join them this creature lives on your arm like a otopuss . whats it called and is it on dvd . only saw about 4 but it brill or is it coming back ?

Unfortunarely, this series was cancelled after five seasons but the first season is available on DVD (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN...
It's shown on BBC 4 because the BBC is quite disdainful of sci-fi imports (which is why they constantly cancel sci-fi shows on BBC 2 whenever there is some sporting event or the like on). It was shown on BBC 2 a few years ago though, if I remember correctly, as well as on the Sci-Fi Channel (if you have access to Sky)
