Answers: Why are the other characters in Family Guy so mean to her? In my opinion Chris is much more unlikeable but the rest of the family seems to think Chris is cool.

Lol it's just one of those things about the show it's like she's the 'target' of the family who they just laugh at also I actually don't think they mean it,it just comes naturally like once Peter poked fun of her when Meg said he should focus on her,he said something along the lines of 'Hi,Iam Meg,I wear glasses and go to school' and they all started laughing and even she did insecurely to fit in.It's questionable such as why only Brian hears Stewie-or why the others seem to ignore what he says.Meg just seems to have this factor which they all find funny.

I think the writers just thought having a running joke about a "black sheep" character would be funny. A lot of shows do that, like how the Simpsons don't like Grampa.

Chris hates Meg because all older brothers hate their sisters. Stewie hates her because he is gay and hates all women. Peter just wishes she was a boy...he thinks all women are good for is sex and cooking. I cant figure out why Lois hates her, although she was the only one who wanted to save her in the "Panic Room" episode where Meg was trapped downstairs with the robbers while everyone else was locked inside the room upstairs.
