Answers: i dont get the relationship between serenas mom and dans dad when they talk during the show im so confused. did they once date did dans dad cheat with her? someone please help me out?

From what I can gather...Serena's mom and Dan's Dad know each other and dated before the kids were born. I don't think they cheated. Serena's mom thought that Dan's Dad was getting Dan to go out with Serena so that Dan's Dad could have an excuse to hook up with Serena's Mum since his wife has left to 'find her inner artist'...are you confused yet? I think I've confused myself!

They dated but she left him for some rich guy (or at least that's what I understood). But there must be something more about it because in the 4th episode they mentioned that Dan's mum hates Serene's mother....

Serena's mom and Dan's dad have dated in the past and went their seperate ways and met new people. When they see each other again, Serena's mom thinks that Dan going out with Serena is just Dan's dad's way of getting back together with Serena's mom because his wife left him over the summer.
