Answers: I use to (and still am) quite amazed at Sam Waterston's portrayal of the "Jack McCoy" role. But for the last 2 years, I've been really buzzed by David Caruso's "Horatio Caine" The writers have done a great job with that character and he's still somewhat believable. (compared to Jack Bauer) And Caruso plays the "lone gunslinger" archetype really well.

I've always loved Jerry Orbach's portrayal of "Lennie Briscoe" on 'Law & Order', but lately I have been enjoying "Tony DiNozzo" on 'NCIS' and "Trevor Cobb" on 'K-Ville'. Cole Houser gives such depth and beautiful mystery to "Trevor" that I look forward to every Monday. And Michael Weatherly has such fun with "Tony" that it's hard not to believe that he is "Tony DiNozzo". :)

umm i really like seeley boo(david boreanaz)t from the tv show bones- i think he plays the funny cop really well, and he's not the classic macho cop, plus hes pretty damn hott, if you ask me.

also i really like Gibbs(Mark Harmon) from the tv show NCIS - i think he is brillant on the show, he is smaryassy secretive and i just love the show and him as a cop.

Jack Bauer is my favorite - even if he is not a cop - and what is wrong with that????? He is fun to watch and nice to look at too.
