Question: does everyone eat Breakfast in the Cafe, lunch in the Cafe or the Pub, then go in the pub after work then again at night?

That's the way they like it i assume! lol I guess it dates back to when soaps started and no one really had enough money for appliences and were not very good cooks, so they did everything communally, this creates good set ups especially for soaps, and it's just stuck... i mean the show would be even more boring if everyone was just doing washing at home... lol

I know, the washing machine thing is so dumb - even the well off characters don't have one!
Cos otherwise the characters would have nowhere to go, the viewers have to see a change of scenery sometimes,, it would be pretty boring to see them sat in their houses ALL the time.
And for the same reason you don't see a character washing their own clothes or cooking or doing any domestic household chore ( who wants to sit and watch that, it's BORING) GET IT NOW!??
because they are all too depressed to cook for themselves and the production team are too skint to buy any of the residents a washing machine have you noticed the laundrette has never changed since the programme started
