Question: What makes girls (generalisation) so desperate to hang onto their fathers... if my dad said that ...it would be the last time he saw me.... simple as that ...he calls them cancers ffs!!

Hmm I didn't see it so I can't really comment on the wife, but the father (presuming he's around) is the first male to figure strongly in a girls life..and she's hard-wired to do anything to get & keep his attention. Then whatever he does or what ever sort of loser he is and however a girls brain says she should cut him out of her life...the instincts are still there.

you don't say how old the daughters are...maybe theyre too young to listen to their brain.

    my ex left me preggo with triplets and as far as im concerned his kids are better off without him
    It's awful to be rejected by a parent, they will be hurt beyond measure by his cruelness. Unfortunatley he is probably doing it to hurt his ex, or she has behaved so badly during the breakup he can't take any more pain.
    No - don't watch Trisha but I agree with you. If my dad had ever said anything along those lines I'd have given him a very sore parting skelp and THEN he'd never have seen me again!

    EDIT: Sorry, just noticed your last sentence. Doesn't matter whether it's to do with his wife or not - he's NO RIGHT to take it out on his children, piece of sh*t that he is!! Imagine the rejection those children will be feeling?
    No I don't want much TV. In 10 or 20 years time perhaps the situation will be reversed & his daughters will say that they don't want anything to do with him. Why do some people throw their kids away just because they can't stand their husband or wife? When he realises what he has done he will be full of regret!
    No but sounds like my ex partner!
