His name was Edward Woodward and he was absolutely the sexiest gray-haired man I had ever seen at the time. So laid back and cool, but so effective. I never missed the show when it was on.
its somewhat vague in my memory. its there i just cant member.
Yes! Great show! Thanks for the reminder about that gem...

The actor who played Robert McCall is Edward Woodward. If you want to see him in something new, go see "Hot Fuzz" -- it's excellent!
Edward Woodard was the equalizer until his heart attack in 1987 then they brought in Robert Mitchum.
Kristen is absolutely correct. Edward Woodward played Robert McCall, a former 'specialist' who turned to using his knowledge and skills to helping the 'common' person, rather than serving 'government' interests.
Yes, I certainly do remember it. I don't know if I actually watched any episodes- I just clearly recall the advertisements on T.V. for the show.

Sometimes I still think about them. Curious.

I loved a lot of those old shows.

I was straining to remember an old T.V. show recently, when I finally did indeed remember what it was called. Did you ever see the show "B.J. and the Bear?" I think it was about a truck driver with a pet monkey named "The Bear." LOL.

Wow. The "good ole days."
