Very interesting programme. I never realised how much these people must be in the spotlight, on a day to day basis. Imagine having to answer "7ft 7in" umpteen times every day!

Answer to above response - world's tallest living woman is Yao Defen at 7ft 8" - her mother is only 4ft 8"! Tallest ever woman was Zeng Jiulian, at 8ft 1.5", but she could never stand straight due to a spinal deformity.

I guess that ultimately, we are not designed to be that tall and giantism will potentially result in many health risks, some of which are life-threatening.

I thought the American girl looked great though. All in proportion, which is unusual for such tall people. To make your 6ft 2" boyfriend look small must be something.

I'm the same height as you, and I would love to be taller. I'm always fascinated by really tall people, but I've yet to see a woman who's over 7 feet tall. Do they not exist, I wonder?
