Kid Nation, - a weird show??!
Question: Something weird about kids having to kill a chicken, etc... I heard one of the kids even got injured, sure the parents shouldn't have agreed for her to be on, but still, something weird about sacrificing children's safety for ratings. What do you think?

I like the show, I think it points out the fact that kids do need supervision but also the fact that they are capable of taking care of themsleves. I think the kids are doing a good job with what they have to work with.
I actually like that show. I know when I was younger I wanted to know how it felt to be in control of my nation. They get a chance but don't worry adults are there for their saftey. Just like the show Jack ***. They have adults come out when needed.
Great show. The kids will gain experiences most never get. The adult supervision behind the scenes is abundant.
I actually like this show. Granted I missed the chicken killing part. There is an adult there monitering what happens. They are not neglecting the children. They have chores and duties to maintain and they do a pretty good job of taking care of each other. Maybe you should watch an episode or two.
I think it's a cool show. Seriously, do you think the kids are "alone"? Not hardly adults are close bye! I see it as a great growing experience for these kids. So what they killed a chicken!! Kids have done that for years. I think that is better than them taking guns to school, having sex, using drugs and skipping school. Come on, it's a good thing they are learning real things.
I think most kids need some sort of bootcamp or something like this show. Especially nowadays when kids threaten their own parents to call the cops if they hit them. Kids are so much more lazy now playing video games & computer games to no end! I wish my parents sent me to some sorta bootcamp it would have done me so good. There is plenty of adults there if needed or they would be getting sued I am sure b/c everyone is sue happy nowadays too!
they were well supervised. CBS tried a new type of reality series. Give them a break for trying something new instead of Big Brother and Survivor. It's a good show. The kids eat chicken, some of them grew up in farms. The kids were not sacrifice for ratings. They didn't have to sign up if they didn't want to participate on the show.
its a cool show, and they have enough adult supervision behind the scenes , it teaches them to be tough and be able resolve some "adult" problems.....
I also like the show. The kid that killed the chicken was a 15 yr old. He had said that he worked for a butcher. It's not like a 8yr old was doing it. Thousands of kids go away for 2 months every summer to camp and have kids just a few years older then themselves as counselors. None of the camera's are hidden so we known that their are more adults around that we don't see on camera.
