Sylar is recovering from his injuries. At first he finds himself on a beach in a chair - looks like Hawaii or some exotic island - with an attractive red-head in a bikini. She explains that her power is to create illusions, and that she can look like anyone, even Sylar himself; she can also change the environment, take him anywhere. She can make him forget that he is still healing and take his pain away. Sylar is angry because his abilities don't seem to be working. She also says that she saved him. He repays her by killing her and trying to take her ability away, but the trick is on him. Not only is he unable to absorb her powers, he finds himself in a cabin in the middle of nowhere - looks like a South American rainforest surrounded by lots of trees and NO PEOPLE.

Meanwhile, Hiro is trying to talk his childhood hero, Kensei, into actually becoming the source of legend. Kensei has discovered that he can't be hurt for long (he heals like Clair - I think he's an ancestor of hers because he shares her blonde, blue-eyed looks as well as her ability) but he thinks this presents a great opportunity to make money by taking on all the local samurais in a fight. Hiro also has been helping the beautiful swordmaker's daughter to fall in love with Kensei, but he is falling in love with her himself. Hiro manages to communicate with Ando by writing letters on tightly rolled little scrolls and hiding them in Kensei's sword. Ando finds them after having been reprimanded for playing a video game at work.

Clair learns that her lab partner can fly after he torments her with the knowledge that he saw her cut off her toe and saw it grow back. She also learns that he has a crush on her - he takes her on a "Superman" like flight with him, then they end up on the beach. She also finds out that he was once held by the Company after being captured by a man with HORNED RIMMED GLASSES! At the end of the show, she is beginning to question who her father really is and his intentions. Also, Clair's father finds a lost painting from the dead psychic painter (Isaac) which seems to show a dead man with horned rimmed glasses in the foreground; and a blonde girl looks on in the background in the arms of a silhouetted man.

Peter's various abilities begin to manifest as he helps the Irish gang to rob the winnings of a huge football pool - his telepathy lets him know that one of the gang is planning to betray the others and make off with all of it. He uses other abilities to stop the guy and nearly kills him. The Irish gang decide that he makes a great addition to the group and he decides he doesn't want to know what what is in the box.

The Latino twins are getting closer to the US and Alejandro decides to steal a car. The police give chase before he can get into it, and the twins get seperated. Alejandro goes to jail; Maya comes in, and they won't let her get him out because she doesn't have enough cash. Her eyes go black, the police collapse and she runs to Alejandro's cell. they link hands and she heals, as does Alejandro's American cellmate. Alejandro's cellmate offers to drive them across the border, and all three leave together.

Nikki and her son bid goodbye to Las Vegas. They visit DL's gravesite first. Nikki has gone to be "cured" by a doctor, but it appears to be scam/ruse to possibly kill her.

Mohinder is beginning to realize that the Company has swallowed him and that taking them down is not going to be easy.

Sylar is back, however, he is unable to steal powers.
The Cheerleader learned her Lab buddy can fly. (He saw he chop of her toe and it grew back)
Peter is alive and South of the Border having to due deeds to obtain the box telling who he is. Nathan is alive.
Hiro is in Japan circa 1861.

Sylar was being taken care of by a girl with the power to make illusions. She tried to convince him that they would get his powers back and become powerful together. He ended up killing her but he couldn't get her powers and he was stranded in the middle of what looked like a jungle or huge forest.
Claire was hasstler by the guy who saw her cut off her toe. At first she was scared but then he showed her his power, so they seem like friends now.
Clairs' father was shown a painting by the artist who drew the future. In it, he was dead, shot in the left eye and Claire (at least it looked like Claire to me, not sure though)was making out with a guy in the background unaware of anything.
Peter helped the red-haired girl and her brother when they almost got double crossed. He showed off his powers in front of them and almost killed some guy. They gave him the box revealing his past but he's afraid he might be an aggressive guy who doesn't mind killing people so he doesn't want to know about his own past yet.
Hiro showed the American samurai how to become a hero. The samurai has the power to heal. Hiro seemed sad when the blacksmiths daughter kissed the samurai.
