You have that long to surrender your prisoners!" The speech was short but effective, but what was it? I think that was my favorite scene of all time, with Kirk only able to blurt out, "Scotty! General Order 24, 2 hours!" before he was cut off, acting Captain Lt Cdr Scott gravely acknowledging, "Aye, Captain, General Order 24!" and the crew looking at him open-mouthed and wide-eyed, with the viewer not yet aware that "General Order 24" meant the immediate and utter annihilation of the entire planet. Chills! Don't you wish you could tell someone that? Like the entire nation of Iran or Iraq?
