Journeyman - Do you watch this show?!
Question: I thought I'd really like the show but the main character has no charisma and sounds like Ray Romano. Anyone else feel the same or do you like the show?

I like it but I do kinda agree with you, the main character (Dan) could use a bit more sprucing up. He's actually Scottish, so I guess he took lessons to get an "American" accent, but who? Jeez maybe he did take lessons from Ray Romano, lol...
(Possible spoiler alert?) It's an interesting twist in the latest episode (10/9) when Katie finds Livia's old watch in Dan's jacket pocket.
I think Livia is acting like Dan's guide when he "travels"... like showing him tonight, that he cannot change actual history, like when he tries to save his editor's sister, Charlotte (I think). He/they can only change a person's outlook on life/people/etc, like with the attorney.
I'm glad they don't skip over the conflicts with Dan and Katie (the main character and his wife), because it would be difficult on any relationship. I think they concentrate on all the drama though, and need to bring more personality into the characters though, to keep the show going... just my 2 cents...

i agree with you.... they should have used someone like the guy that was in Quantum Leap ( Scott Bacula) or at least someone with a little personality...... the concept of the show is really good but I find myself more bored than entertained.... its a little "slow" too

I thought this show would be the next "Lost" or "heroes" for me... boy was I wrong.
This show is completly dull and the characters.... wow.
Plus the story is confusing. Why does he go back in time again? Whats with all his lovers?
How can his futurewife believe that BS? I dunno. Hopefully it wont be on after Heroes anymore so that i dont have to watch it.

LOL I actually like this show. It was confusing at first but after the first 30 minutes I got it. I don't exactly understand the old girlfriend being able to go back in time too thing, but other then that it's pretty damn good.
Well I missed the first one but saw the 2nd. My son brought me up to speed. I'm not sure if I like it or not. It does remind me of Quantum Leap, but this guy is no Scott Bakula. I have to reserve judgment until I've seen a couple more shows, if I do.
I love this show it is very sci fi and I really do love it . I disagree about the main character . He is supposed to be mellow he is a family man . good luck .
