Answers: because Jes is a dumb *****! i too liked her, but now she can suck it! poor BRET!!! Too much time apart and she had alot of time to think.* Read my question and itll answer yours.
The shows are scripted, She knew what went on in the house b4 she even won. i always liked heather and still do never liked jess i seen thru her since the beginning of the show she always seemed cold to me I think she did love him, but dammm 6 months apart.. WTF They broek up because six months of no communication kills all relationships, PLUS hello does any reality show relationship truly last? Jess was a phony ! She said in many interviews that she was there for the publicity . She was not there because she had feelings for Brett . She also said she got caught up in the competition of the show. She just wanted to win.
It was obvious when he picked her , she looked about as happy as a person who just got told there dog died. She never even cracked a smile.
Jess called Brett when she got home and broke up with him on the phone. And she has been dating someone ever since.

I think it sucked because Heather really cared about Brett and she would of won the show if Jess would of been honest when it really counted !! If she wasn't so selfish then Heather could have won. But no she wanted to win for the sake of winning. The 6 months apart has nothing to do with it she even admitted the whole situation was all a mind F***. She also said in the end of the show ''I don't care if america hates me for this it's the bleeping truth''. What an actress though she made us all believe at one point in time she wasn't a fake. Because of his diabetes. She does not want to stick him with needles Jes was way to young for him, Bret is way too old for her, and he comes with a lot of baggage. I think Jes just wanted to win the contest and get TV exposure, I don't think she wanted him, she just wanted to beat Heather.
