What did you think of Pushing Daisies?
mark my words - those of you NOT watching this show, it will be the big TV hit of the new shows! Very well written, inventive, and funny, etc. Who enjoyed ABC's Pushing Daisies as much as I did?
Answers: I watched it twice because I was upset with myself for not taping it the first time! Here I was expecting a peppy ripoff of "Tru Calling", and I saw the best thing that has aired this season!
I LOVE the narration! It's a combination of William Goldman's "The Princess Bride", what with the details of date and time; Dr. Seuss specials; and perhaps that Lemony Snicket movie. It is bright, quirky, intelligent, funny, surprising, intriguing, and suspenseful. The cinematography, sets, costumes, music, script, direction and, most of all, the cast are wonderful! While I'm bailing out of the other disappointments, I'll be watching this one, which reminds me in treatment of the short-lived "Wonderfalls". Does anyone remember that one?

I told my mom that this would be the breakout hit of the season or one of the first that the network would kill off. Scarily, an audience doesn't always guarantee a show, but ABC (I think it is.) did run it twice in a week. That's a promising sign that they might be supporting this one. Better than pulling pansies, for sure. I liked it but we'll have to see if they can keep it up. I usually watch the first three episodes before I decide if a series will be any good. My husband and I couldnt get past the narrotive aspect of the show. We didnt like it, didnt even finish watching it. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to it. big shots way better! I liked it.
It's new, and it's totally different than anything else out there. I kind of like kookier things, but I wonder if this show will get an audience. I hope so... I liked it a lot, but how long can they last not touching? The Girls cute. I loved it! It was funny yet romantic and sad; beautiful show. The characters are great too! Absolutely love Ned! lol I LOVED IT!! I think it is a cute show and has a good pace. It was over before I knew it. I was glad that it was on again so my husband could watch it. I like the name of Ned's business "The Pie Hole". We will have to wait and see if it remains as great as the first episode was. I didn't like it and did not finish the first episode. I am watching TV and if they cannot find a way to ACT out the dialog instead of narrate it then they need to put it on the radio. I am not going to watch something only to hear a irritating voice talk instead of act. It sounds like a lot of people enjoyed it we all have our favorites it is not one I will watch. I like it , I thought it was funny for a new show. I enjoyed watching the show; it was different. I'm not sure how far they can go with it though. And I sure hope it doesn't get cancelled, the way a lot of good shows do, before it has a chance.
