Is someone kidding me with the women on this season's The Bachelor?!

Question:

Is someone kidding me with the women on this season's The Bachelor?

I have only watched one season of that show, the very first one. I thought it was gay back then, but recently I have been seeing clips from this current season here and there on other shows and I am so embarassed for these girls. Yikes. They are the stupidest f***ing morons I have ever seen, where are these women coming from? They have NO IDEA how to conduct themselves and handle a man and to even be sexy, they just make desperate fools of themselves over and over again...

Answers: You have to remember that these women are looking for FAME more then anything - they want to get on TV and stay on it for as long as possible! That's why they'll do anything to get their 15 minutes.

The show is pathetic and has been since day 1, for reasons I'm not sure, it continues to air. That's the point............people like dumb and stupid and ridiculous! Ever see "The Flavor of Love?"

I caught the first show of the season from "The Bachelor"..;.....I couldn't believe it either but apparently that's what they think we want to see! I'm not going to say who it is but I'm a distant relative (met her at a wedding when she was a kid) with one of the people on the show. I also have relatives in the "industry".

Jerry O'Connell said when his brother was on, it was more out of getting himself out of a non-existant career, the producers providing the booze, and in the screening, getting the ones who they had a feel would be the most dramatic.

Tons of footage is edited, and that's prob. the part that's most manipulated and takes the longest. A lot of them sign their lives away, and in a month to 6 weeks, their lives are changed.

However, they're not stupid.... maybe not the brightest, or naive in what it's about. They know that they're playing it up for the camera, and it's in hopes of having it possibly lead to other things in TV.

Being on TV = being somebody vs a nobody. Being interviewed. It might get you extra perks, dates with famous people.

Face it, Elizabeth Hasselbeck is why people are trying to get into reality TV.

But the down side is when the show is over, they make very little money off of it, and it might not be the type of fame they wanted.

Firestone did draw attention to the Santa Barbara wineries along with the movie "Sideways".

Albert Brooks' "Real Life" was way ahead of its time. I'd love to see them rerelease "American Family" for DVD.
