Answers: I think Gary Sinise is the most famous...Afterall, he IS Lieutenant Dan!! I'd say William Petersen and Gary Sinise, even Marg Helgenberger; I'd heard of all of them before they came to CSI. (And David Caruso, yes, but his career was formed mostly through NYPD Blue and the fact that he can't act.) Top choice would probably be Gary Sinise. William Petersen and Gary Sinise Either Gary Sinise or Marg Helgeberger. Both have done lots of TV and movies over the years. Sinise has done more quality movies like Forrest Gump. David Caruso was doing OK on TV, but his movie career was a failure.
