Why do people take Dr. Phil seriously?!

Why do people take Dr. Phil seriously?
He's just some balding old man trying to promote a book or pump up his son's latest work.
Answers: because they are pathetic i just watch him because hes funny! because he is out of shape and has a diet book! In the very beginning, what he said did make sense and still do, such as, " you can't change what you don't acknowledge " and many more. Still, I agree that his show has changed alot and not for the better. Kind of sad, for I am sure that he did help alot of people. I didn't no people actually did take him seriously. That's kind of scarey isn't it??? Yeah i know, I've seen people with real phycological disorders come on his show and all he says is "just say I'm not gonna do it anymore"! What an idiot! Because Oprah produces his show and because he can come up with sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... many dumb sayings with that annoying accent of his. Because Oprah told us too! Sheesh! B/c he acturaly wants to help people. He has a fancy degree in pshycology. He has a team of shrinks to help out. He acturaly doesn't spew out what I call pshyco babble like most shrinks do. He gets real.
Those are my reassons for watching some of his shows unless I find them boring. I have no idea. Why do people go on show like that?! Because he address issues that are real for today.
