i cant tell u how relieved i was though when they showed that Gideon is just off traveling, i must admit, from the way the last one ended i feared he might do something stupid. i knew he deserved more credit :)
im really gonna miss him on the show though! but im willing to bet he'll make a suprise appearance sometime down the road yeah they are close if you don't remember with Reid and his issues with his mom and then the time when he got kidnapped and was a drug user. umm he always talked to Gideon about his problems. how about in the hot tub? I always thought they were close. I'm also glad Gideon didn't off himself like it seemed that he was going to do the previous episode. And I'm glad the *************** Section Chief realized that she's totally clueless about what they actually do. I REALLY don't like that woman. I think that Gideon might have been Reid Psychiatrist at one point. This is mostly to do with some things that were said during the episodes, primarily in the first episode where Reid jsut happens to be the first one to talk to Gideon. Also, another in season one where an unsub tells Gideon that he is ignoring the 'quite obvious' fact that Reid is developing a Psychological disorder.
Another possible explanation would have to do with Reid being a child prodigy. Many who grow up like this do not feel comfortable with people their own age. Therefore, he would feel more comfortable talking with someone much older, like Gideon.
