Why do Newsreaders fiddle about with a pen and bits of paper?
At the end of the news they always try to look as if they're doing something meaningful - pretty stupid huh?
Answers: Someone tell me WHY? it is SO ANNOYING !!!! Well it's better them doing that on national television than scratching their balls. have always wondered that, they are reading from an auto Q so why the need for pen and paper is it to make them look more professional? Just another form of doodling,something the mind dose
in times of stress Fiddling with pen or with any other object is a sign of nervousness. I think, no matter how much experienced these newsreaders are, they are nervous in front of the camera and hence the fiddling. I cannot think of any other reason. the editors of the show tell them to do it
they tell them it makes them look stupid
