Answers: I don't think it is the worst. It may not be the best, but not the worst.
I have read a few reviews where people did not find it "as funny" as they thought it would be. Lets face it, if the show were all about goofy cavemen jokes, it would lose its flavor fast.
This show is not supposed to be "slapstick" or "roll on the floor" funny. Its a situational comedy about real life events. You are supposed to relate to the characters. The fact that they are made-up into cavemen "is" the humor.
For example, you may not have gotten any of the jokes (like the wikipedia joke) because it was too smart, or you may not have found any of the dissertation remarks humorous, but cavemen playing Wii boxing is hillarious.
It is subtle humor. I enjoyed it, and I will probably watch the next epsiode to see where it goes.
This show is intelligent, which means it will fail because the majority of the people who watch prime time TV are idiots (and as I can see from some of the people answering this question didn't even watch the show. Gott alove people answering your question that have no idea about what they are talking about).
So, to answer your question, no it is not the worst ABC show. Carpoolers is. I missed it but have heard the buzz. I thought the commercials were dumb to start with, why would I watch a show all about the same thing? I would have to say "yes"! yes i saw it for the first time last night and watched about 2 1/2 minutes of it and had to turn it off. There is no appeal for me... yup really dumb. i won't be wasting my time watching it! Watching the Previews are bad enough! I put that show right int he idiot bucket with "Good Luck Chuck" and "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry". Who the hell thinks this crap is funny? an executive somehow convinced the network that basing a show on a bad commercial would work. how they did that i dont know. i won't even put my tv thru the torture of putting it on.
just goes to show that they need to poll the public first before putting this kinda crap on.....but you know, some idiots will probably watch it and give it some sort of ratings. so it will probably make it past 5 shows, unlike Drive which was an awesome show, and got canned. god why do they cancel the good ones & keep on this drabble??? I WON'T watch it, but I'm quite sure it is. you know i can honestly say i had absolutely nothing to do last night and watched exactly 15 seconds of cavemen and wanted to put corks in my ears so i wouldnt continue to lose brain cells it was so stupid.
i ended up watching cartoons instead. YES! I cannot believe they made that into a show. I have not seen it but I thought it was a pretty stupid idea. Yes it is very bad. a show made out of a horrible commercial. very bad idea. Worst new show on any network i think so, it wont last but a few more episodes and i bet they will cut it early! Worst show EVER. I say yeah, but have you seen Moonlight ? That was pretty lame as well. yes, and possibly the worst in the history of tv Actually, I thought Carpoolers was worse, then Big Shots, then Caveman. So far, it was the lousiest show I've ever seen this season! yes.. boring
