When did reality tv become the thing to watch and why is america obsessed with it?
Answers: America isn't, producers are. They are cheaper and easier to produce. No talent is necessary and the scripts write themselves. The American public is being duped into thinking it's cool and it's really the dumbing of our society in full force. How can anyone watch more than 5 minutes of TV I'll never know, but that may explain why our society has become fat and lazy. >> Not in my household its not ~ I can't stand it!

Sometimes its fun to watch how people really are, however now all the wannabe actors are getting on the shows just for their 10 seconds of fame and it has lost a lot of it original sparkle. Participating in reality TV is the common mans 15 minutes of fame.The even commoner man enjoys watching him try for it and make a fool out of himself doing it. It's tangible proof that there really are bad guys out there to boo and look down on. We good. They bad. Sides, it keeps us off the sub jet of our own probs when we can easily look at real perps
on TV. Takes the heat off the Taliban and the home grown crook who cheats
widows and orphans and companies that rip off pension plans. It's the nickle and dime 7-11 robber or the clinic selling nickle bags to ding dongs we can catch, better than nothing. the uk isnt much better

per year to pay for this drivvle CUZ IT IS BETTER THAN WATCHIN OVER PAID ACTORS. I think it started back with the Real World, but didn't really catch on until Survivor. BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME!!!
