Is the Music on AMC to LOUD???
Or is it just me? When there is a scene at ConFusion, I usually use the mute button to block out the annoying music and then use CC so I can read what they are saying. Since I'm over 30, I probably don't fit into their demographics any more. I thought that the general concensus was that if you notice the background music in a TV program that it's either too loud or doesn't fit the scene. The ABC soaps are all bad, but AMC is the worst.
Answers: I've been reading this complaint about AMC for years, but the suits in NYC could care less what viewers think; that's obvious by the fact that they kept Megan McTavish on as headwriter for years, even after she almost single handedly destroyed OLTL. And she was well on the way to destroying AMC when they finally booted her ***. The new headwriters are trying, but they've got a lot to repair. And it doesn't help that AMC keeps throwing out the characters we've grown to love over the years to bring in new, cheaper and less talented actors. There's a good article in last week's SOD about whether or not soaps are becoming obsolete and who's to blame. You should enjoy. I know I have a hard time hearing them as well, they need to turn down the background noise. Its not just you. I have a hard time hearing them as well. Not only that, the music they play is terrible! well, when they first start a scene at confusion it's pretty loud, but once someone starts talking, i think it's fine. Yes, it's too loud for me too, and i really don't even like that kind of music, period!!
