Greys anatomy VS. Private Practice?!

Question:

Greys anatomy VS. Private Practice?

I did not get to see the premiere Greys anatomy but I did catch Private Practice.. I have to say I think Private Practice may be a better show this year.

what do you think??

for me I lost interest in Greys anatomy after Grey almost drowned and yet somehow she lived and didnt have any brain damage or anything.. that episode just ruined it for me.

plus they got rid of the red head and Isiah washington.

Answers: I've always had problems with credibility with Grey's Anatomy, and the end of last season really wrecked the show for me. First there was the drowning thing that you mentioned. There was also Alex falling for Rebecca, despite the fact he was so disparaging over Izzie's relationship with a patient the previous season (which was only a couple of months ago in their time). Then there was the series of bad things that happened to Meredith just for the sake of drama (and she was already very whiny and annoying in my opinion). The final straw for me was the Izzie/George thing. First of all, as I mentioned above, only a couple of months had passed since Izzie was so devastated by Denny's death. Then, George is married! Ugh.

The problems I felt at the end of last season have just carried over into this season. Unless I see some positive resolution, and going back to the greatness that was season two, I don't think I'm going to like the show much this year.

I wasn't so impressed with Private Practice, either, though. Addison was my favorite character, but except for the speech at the end, she didn't seem like she was the same person. Also, I think the show overdid the "quirk" factor too much. I've heard that it gets better, and this was only the first episode, so I'm willing to give the show more leeway than I am willing to give Grey's. Consequently, I think that you might be right and in a few months Private Practice may very well surpass Grey's Anatomy in quality and enjoyment level. I haven't been able to watch the new season of either Private Practice or Grey's as I live in Australia, but I agree with you that I think Private Practice is going to be the better show this year. I also lost interest when Meredith drowned in those last episodes and miracaly survived without brain damage etc. Also the fact that she cant seem to make up her mind about whether she wants to be with McDreamy or not....

I hope that I will be able to watch both of the first episodes soon and that at least the first episode of Grey's will be good otherwise I might not bother watching anymore either...... I love Grey's anatomy but also Private Practice is good....So I say Grey's anatomy! I've seen both. Not really into private practice, didn't think it was that good, was funny in some parts though. I love greys anatomy but It was odd watching it without burke in it, I dont like the way one of them (george) failed and has to start all over again. the episode was ok, but the ending made up for it. so Greys anatomy is the better show.

well in order to have private practice they had to get rid of the red head.
