I need help with my comedy?
I was online and found out that there are 6 parts in a joke.
1. Beginning- setting/main character
2. Something has to be different about the character
3. Conflict
4. Compromise
5. Conflict the 2nd
6. Punchline
Can you give me some ideas that can help me come up with my own material using these steps? Do you know anything else a good joke has to have?
Answers: To me, the best jokes are unpredictable. When you think a joke is going one way and it winds up somewhere completely different, those are the funniest jokes. Maybe that "something different about the character" is where you think it's going, but it's really based on something else. There's really no science to creating a joke...its not like a math formula. The first thing to do is to watch other comedians and comedy shows with a similar comedy that you want to do. You'll see that everyone has their own style to presenting jokes.
To write a joke think about everday stuff or write down funny things people say during the day.
Not everyone is funny and many people can't simply sit down and right stuff that is funny.
