Question:

How many more programmes will we be subjected to on TV where you can phone in to vote for some numpty to win?

. . . . Something utterly pointless . . . .

Answers: Exactly, dafties talking or giving their opinion (trying professional opinion) when they don't have a clue.
Great example is the X-Factor were they have professional people that even if you don't agree with them later you can see they were right, but gets worse when on the "decider" they have to trust that most of the phone calls will be with the right decision.
But maybe not because most of the people have their favourites and they in them even if they know there's somebody better.
Great point have a star. Many more, If enough people like & watch that stuff, networks will keep producing programs like that. It is all about ratings... As long as people are gullible enough to keep phoning in, Well Barbie there are people who do. I watch these programmes sometimes but I don't vote. The only time I vote is for the winner of BB. I do agree with you that it does seem pointless because it is always the family, friends, the town or whatever that the person comes from who usually get the votes, not who is worthy of their vote. So in a way it is not fair. An endless amount. They will never give up. An infinite number - as long as the lines are premium rate. If they had to make it free to call, these shows would soon stop. Do you really think they care about our opinions ?
