How do the winners of 'The Biggest Loser' look so good in the end.. shou!

Question:

How do the winners of 'The Biggest Loser' look so good in the end.. shouldn't they have a bunch of extra skin.

How do the contestants on 'The Biggest Loser' look so good at the end of each show.. shouldn't they have a bunch of excess skin on their bodies from losing all that weight? I know from watching 'Discovery Health' people in similar situations have to get all that skin removed after losing as much weight as they do on the show. Do the final contestants have plastic surgery before the season finales?

*extension: The people I mentioned on Discovery Health did not loose weight from stomach stapling or any other surgery, just hard work and excercise, yet in every case they still have huge excesses of skin. Going from 400lbs to 170lbs, etc.

*extension: The people I mentioned on Discovery Health did not loose weight from stomach stapling or any other surgery, just hard work and excercise, yet in every case they still have huge excesses of skin. Going from 400lbs to 170lbs, etc. It is because the are losing the weight by doing both resistance training and cardiovascular training.
The cardiovascular training burns the fat and the resistance training will sculpt the muscles so that their skin is tight and not loose.. If you lose the weight properly sometimes you won't have the extra skin. With their diet and exercise it allows the muscle and skin to tighten so they don't get the extra skin. It explains that in the biggest loser book.

Having plastic surgery would defeat the purpose they went on the show in the first place. That is the difference from losing weight naturally and losing weight by surgery. I dont think there is any surgery on the Biggest Loser. If you lose weight naturally it gives your skin time to go back to its normal form. the difference between the biggest loser and the people on discovery channel is most of the discovery channel fatties lose weight by surgery, Biggest loser contestants are losing it naturally over 9 or 10 months. They are firming up as they lose and if you'll notice, they drink an awful lot of water. Water adds elasticity to your skin. I'm sure some of them will have to have a few areas nip/tucked but for the most part exercise and diet will leave less extra "baggage" then removing your stomach. I read that the contestants on the Biggest Loser are not allowed to have any surgery before the finales. It would disqualify them from winning.
