Was anyone else disappointed in last night's episode of The Office?
It's not that it was bad, I think I was just expecting more laughs.
Answers: It seemed a little too long. It was like they had only written enough jokes to fill a 30 minute episode and padded out the remaining 30 minutes. I liked when they expanded some episodes last season to 45 minutes...30 minutes is too short, 60 minutes is too long, but 45 minutes was just right.
He's what they should do over at NBC...cancel a game show (Deal of No Deal) or reality show (The Biggest Loser) and replace it with Scrubs and Andy Barker, P.I..
Then on Thursday night, 30 minutes of My Name Is Earl....45 minutes of 30 Rock, 45 minutes of The Office and then E.R.. I wasn't disappointed. I got kind of tired of the whole "Fun Run" story line, but thought it was funny otherwise.
My husband and I both agreed last night before it aired that the first season is still our favorite so far.
I'm curious to see how the whole Jim and Pam dating thing plays out and if Angela breaks up with Dwight because of what he did.
And I'm glad Karen is gone. i did too. the beginning had me scared because i didnt find it that funny. but it redeemed itself in my eyes in the last half hour. I was not disappointed at all. I think that there was a lot of plot exposition that needed to take place. That took up some time and may have replaced some laughs. We needed to know what had happened.
I loved it. Sorry to disagree, but I laughed throughout most of the show. The nipple chafing, the vomiting, Dwight freezing the cat - all that had me cracking up. Wish it was longer. I was not disapointed at all. It was the same crazy stuff that we've come to expect. There were so many things going on in this episode I thought it flew! Just reading about it now on answers and reading what people thought were funny brings back the laughs!
