Do you read the spoilers for your soap?
I have been reading the AMC spoilers for a few months now and have found myself enjoying the show less and less... I don't know if it is because I read the spoilers so there is no suprise or if it is bad writing. What do you think?
Answers: Personally, I do not read the spoilers for any of the soaps I watch - not because I don't want to ruin the story, but because you don't know how accurate the spoilers are! I don't want to think something is going to happen (or not) and be disappointed.
As for AMC, I think it is just bad storylines for why you aren't enjoying it. I've been watching the show forever and because I'm not enjoying it either, I've stopped taping it as much and rely on the re-caps in Soap Opera Digest. I love the spoilers.....I read them for Y&R.....glad to see that so far, some haven't panned out!! I try not to read them. It takes the fun away from guessing what's going to happen next. Try not reading them and see if you enjoy the show more. It's gotta get better. And this Fall Tad will find Kate. I can't wait for that. I agree that spoilers can ruin a soap or any story for someone. However AMC is just having terrible storylines right now. Everthing is redundant and dragged out. I doubt its just that you are reading the spoilers. AMC needs some changes big time. I read them only when I really want to find something out regarding a specific storyline. I used to read them faithfully and had the same problem. It made them not interesting to watch cuz I knew what to expect so I stopped doing that. I do tape them everyday since I work those hours.
So take my advice and stay off of the reading of the spoilers and the shows will start to become interesting again. It worked for me. yeah! for me, it's much more fun to read the spoilers, i'm a very impatient person and soaps are kind of slow sometimes...i just really want to know what's going to happen with so and so and what will happen, etc.
i love reading spoilers for AMC and GH, cause anything new that pops up will be another chance for discussion with other people who also read spoilers. people come up with bizarre theories about what's going to happen and then it's fun to talk to people about them :). I read the spoilers for OLTL and GH. I also read the Comings and Goings. I love to know what's coming up in the following weeks and who's being added to the cast lists. For me reading the spoilers makes me look forward to watching every day. It's like "Wow, I can't wait to see that or I can't wait until this person returns to the show!" It's not like the spoilers give all the tiny little details so it not like you know everything before it happens.

i watch bold andthe beautiful and young and the restless I do. I can't always watch the show. I always read GH spoilers...it gets me excited for wuts coming I do if I really want to know what's going to happen because sometimes they move too slow for my liking. But if I read them too often I get bored with watching because I already know what's going to happen. I don't read them either as some people said because I don't want things ruined. It's okay to see previews for the next day's show like they do on CBS soaps, but I don't want to know what's going to happen in the next month or so. I like to guess what's going to happen and then see how accurate I am when it happens. Some people here like to tell all about the spoilers, so I just don't read their questions. It's no offense to the people who post them, it's just my preference not to know. I read spoilers sometimes not often. I think reading them you know what's going to happen and it's no so good. I think sometimes they are good but for the most part it does take away the surprise and you're kinda bored with the show. Just a personal opinion though..... Bad writing. Regardless of whether or not I read spoilers for any given month of GH, I can always figure out what's going to happen ahead of time and it's never anything good. yeah but alot of the time the stuff doesn't happen. Yes I do, and they tell alot of stuff, but not really enough to ruin the show!
