Does anyone know what the P in Alex P. Keaton stood for?
Answers: doesn't stand for anything..just like the J in his name isn't his real middle initial...his real name is Michael Andrew Fox...
Michael J. Fox added the P. in Alex P. Keaton as an ad-lib in his audition, the writers loved it and kept it. Michael J. Fox almost didn't get the role of Alex - due to the fact that NBC exec Brandon Tartikoff didn't find it believable that Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross would have a son that was so short. But will keep looking The P was not is Alex's given name, he used the P to make himself sound important. However, the P did stand for Patricia who was is grandmother as revealed in e#217.
